Les C. Altenberg, President/Director of Client Services
Les brings over 20 years of experience to the challenge of helping law firms build their business.
Starting his career by working at some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious marketing firms (Young & Rubicam, McCann-Erickson, Foote Cone Belding), Les founded A.L.T. Legal Professionals Marketing Group as a means for providing law firms and those who serve the legal profession with strategic insight and guidance borne out of his Madison Avenue experience. Since its founding, the agency has helped law firms nationwide obtain new clients, cross-sell existing clients and justify higher rates.
An avid lecturer, Les is a member of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and former member of the Advisory Board to the Paralegal Program at Burlington County College in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. He is the author of numerous articles on topics related to legal marketing that have appeared in such publications as The National Law Journal, Law Practice, the Texas Bar Journal and the Legal Intelligencer, among others. In addition, Les serves as an instructor in the LMA distance learning series.
Jean Arlene, Vice-President/Director of Public Relations
No one works harder than Jean at getting their law firm clients ongoing exposure in the print and broadcast media. Joining A.L.T. in 1994, Jean brings to the agency a unique perspective garnered from over 20 years working in a diversity of industries.
A 1982 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Jean held business positions in the health care field prior to joining Kraft Dairy Group in a sales/marketing capacity in 1989.
Today, Jean is directly responsible for the public relations efforts of the agency’s vast
law firm clientele. Her efforts have garnered “hits” on such media staples as CNN,
ABC,The Wall Street Journal, NBC, BBC, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and
The Philadelphia Inquirer in addition to the full range of regional and trade media outlets.
Jean is a member of the Legal Marketing Association.
William C. Heron, Creative Supervisor
Bill comes to A.L.T. from Unisys where he served four years in a senior design capacity. Following his graduation from the Art Institute of Philadelphia where he majored in Advertising Design (with a specialization in graphic design), Bill enjoyed employment stints at Verizon and Crane Marketing.
Fluent in all of the major design and web development software, Bill’s broad range of skills have been utilized on projects ranging from branding and corporate identity programs to brochures, posters, advertising, direct mail, exhibit signage, billboards, and web sites.
In addition to the countless law firms for whom he’s designed materials and ads, Bill has worked on such brand names as IBM, Oracle, Temple University, Sam’s Warehouse Club, Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, Jefferson Hospital, Fox Chase Cancer Society, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Great Adventures.
Gary W. Mitchell, Director of Information Technologies
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Gary understands all the complexities of today’s information technologies. He is fluent in a wide variety of programming languages and proficient in all types of web site architecture as well as e-commerce and database design.
He most recently served as the Commerce Technical Director at Dow Jones, Inc. where he was responsible for e-commerce upgrades for the Wall Street Journal (WSJ.com) Online dynamic web site.
