“Productizing” Legal Services

Productization involves exploring ways in which the intangibles of the firms offerings are made more salient through the employment of such tools as informational brochures, seminars, regional directories, etc.

Unlike with tangible “products,” where potential customers often have a good idea as to what they are purchasing, law firm prospects often have limited information regarding competitive law practices. Often it is difficult for a prospective client to discern the difference between the services competitive firms provide, their fees or the general ways in which they go about their business.

Developing informational materials, seminars/workshops, web site portals, etc. is a good way for prospects to minimize perceived risk because it allows them to begin a relationship and interact with a firm before actually making an emotional and/or financial commitment.

For more information on how the agency can promote your firm through “productization,” contact Jean Arlene.
