Public & Media Relations

Public Relations is used to enhance credibility and is designed to provide the maximum amount of exposure at the lowest out-of-pocket cost. Included under the broad category of Public Relations are:

Press Releases – announcing the latest news at the firm. This can include new hires, new appointments, new accreditations, pending or recently implemented presentations/seminars, accounts won, the status of particular cases, and even personal achievements of firm staff members. The marketing rationale for consistently developing and disseminating releases is to get the firm name regularly highlighted in the appropriate press.

Pitch Letters to the Print and Broadcast Media – offering the firm’s expertise on critical topics. Such letters allow the firm to offer a greater depth of expertise on a particular subject than it would through a simple release.

Feature Articles – can be written either by firm attorneys and/or ghostwritten on their behalf. Articles (and interviews) are one of the best means for establishing credibility regarding a specific issue.

Media Relations – involves the development of an ongoing dialogue with relevant media regarding current or pending topics of interest. Mutual respect between the firm and the media is the best way to ensure press releases and article ideas are fairly considered. See some of the media placements the agency has garnered for its clients.

Press Conferences – promote high visibility on critical cases or news events

Seminars – educate and provide information to a specific target market. Although the results from a seminar can take some time to fully appreciate, they are often used as a quick means for generating leads.

Special Events – can accomplish a variety of objectives including fostering a greater relationship between the firm and the community, enhancing the firm’s reputation, facilitating interaction with target prospects, etc.

Today, dissemination of information is not limited to the print and broadcast media alone. Every day, the internet offers greater opportunities to convey information about the firm and its services.
